“Riding Waves,” and “Stoked and Broke,” his full-length documentaries and short films, have garnered numerous awards and cemented his reputation as the top young surf filmmaker today. He is the founder of Korduroy.tv, a leading voice of individualism in the surf world.

“Compassing” is about “finding freedom,” something largely lost as technology makes the world a smaller place. Before embarking on a 60-day adventure on the coast of Mexico, Sutton customized his van for the ideal life on the road. He joins up with Kepa Acero as well as fellow Reef Ambassadors and legendary surfers Rob Machado, and Nick Rozsa.

“I’m really excited about releasing this with Reef,” says Cyrus," I was trying to find a way to get down to Mexico for a good chunk of time and surf my brains out. So when they approached me about making a film about the trip I jumped all over it!"


Featuring varied surf styles and landscapes, the film is a visual interpretation of Reef’s “Just Passing Through,” campaign and Reef’s new Shelter Supply line, a collection of bags, premium water resistant packs, surfable walkshorts, rain shells, travel organizers, adjustable rain shells, multi-use duffel and wallet, specifically for Sutton’s style of global travel.

South Africa Surf Safari--The Great Adventure


Trek to the other side of the world as Bryan and James search for waves, ride sand dunes, go down a 200 meter fuffi slide, and go on an animal safari. As a competitive surfer, Bryan was sponsored by Quiksilver, Aleeda, and Hobie, as well as modeling for Giorgio Armani in Italy, Maiser Skiwear in Switzerland, Bella in Germany, Mode in France as well as Levi's, Yamaha, Sahara Club, and Spot Sport. He has appeared in numerous magazines and commercials.

Learning to Breathe: The Anthony Ruffo Story


"Learning To Breathe" is a feature length documentary about 47-year-old professional surfing legend Anthony Ruffo, his struggles with methamphetamine addiction, and his ambitious efforts to lead his communities - both Santa Cruz and the professional surfing world - out of drug dependency and into a clearer and healthier future.
Anthony Ruffo was born and raised on the west side of Santa Cruz, CA. He is regarded as one of the "Godfathers" of the infamous Westsiders surf brotherhood.
This famous group of surfers put Santa Cruz on the surfing map. Ruffo rose to surfing fame as the first champion of the Coldwater Classic in 1985 and still to this day continues to surf at a professional level.

With success came partying, with partying came addiction, and with addiction came consequences.

DC Surfing is proud to present Free For All starring Craig Anderson, Mitch Coleborn Dillon Perillo and Ry Craike. This short film was shot over a one week period in Indonesia during this year's team trip. The crew scored back to back swells and they surfed for hours on end from sun up to sun down getting some amazing clips in the process. Enjoy!
